Frequently asked questions

What counts as a user?
A person. One user can protect all of their devices: phone, laptop, tablet and home router under one seat. Guest and IoT devices behind a linked network do not count as users.
Is the free plan really free?
Yes. No credit card, no trial clock. Three configuration sets with every blocking feature included. If you outgrow it, the business plan starts at one dollar per user per month.
How are schools billed?
Half the business price, billed per 1000 students rounded up, invoiced at the start of each semester. Faculty accounts are free.
Where does my data live?
In Germany by default. Business and school plans can choose a different log storage region where offered; your DNS lookups themselves are answered from European infrastructure and are not stored unless you turn logging on.
Do you offer a DPA?
Yes, on business and school plans, self-serve. Our compliance page and ISMS questionnaire answers are public at gracedns.eu/legal/compliance.
What happens if I cancel?
Service runs to the end of the paid period. Your configurations remain exportable, and there is no lock-in: DNS settings on your devices point wherever you choose.
How can I pay?
Card for monthly plans. Annual business and school plans can pay by invoice.
Do prices include VAT?
Prices are shown net; VAT is added where applicable at checkout based on your country and VAT ID.
